Michael J. Dobert, SPHR, SHRM – SCP

HR in Alignment, LLC was founded by Michael J. Dobert in 2009 with a single mission - to provide strategic human resource consulting solutions.

Mike brings his over 30 years of human resource and business strategy experience across various industries and non-profit sectors to each project.

The HR expert also holds Senior Human Resource Professional SPHR and SHRM – SCP certifications and additional certifications in Diversity, Leadership, and Change Management.

During his career, Mike has held many dual roles in addition to Senior Human Resources leadership roles, including additional appointments as Director of Finance, State Operations Director, Quality & Strategy, and Multicultural Marketing, leading to a high degree of business acumen and the ability to leverage HR services as a strategic business partner.

HR in Alignment works with the vision of being the resource bringing strategic HR solutions to help clients protect and grow their business in Sugar Land, Houston, and beyond.

The firm works from the belief that HR should maintain a business perspective, protecting organizational assets through effective compliance efforts and helping to grow the business as a “strategic” partner, delivering measured value to the organization.

This is done best by aligning strategic HR initiatives and Human Capital Strategies with organizational strategies. The experts at HR in Alignment have developed efficient, proven procedures to guide businesses and organizations of all types to successful human resource development, practices, and compliance.

Mike believes in supporting and giving back to his community by serving as past President of the Board of the Cullinan Park Conservancy and donating his time and services to various other area non-profit agencies. Mike also proudly served as the 2016 Chairman of the Board for the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, recognized by the US Chamber of Commerce as a 5-Star accredited chamber.

Mike also facilitates board retreats and strategic planning sessions for organizations, including but not limited to non-profits. He actively serves as an ex-officio collaborating with other community leaders on several key initiatives.

In addition to providing strategies to clients, Mike also shares his expertise in helping conference participants develop their HR skills, adhere to industry compliance standards, and grow their businesses from a personnel standpoint.

As a keynote and conference speaker, he spoke at the annual 2022 TCCE conference, the National Investors 12 Strong Summit, and the annual Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Leadership Forum opening retreat.

He also conducts strategic planning retreats and develops organizational strategic plans with ongoing execution management.
